customers to see what alarms are active on the machine at any given
time, decreasing troubleshooting time. |
|
Enhanced
pen creation/pen edit dialog in Trend Chart for faster, quicker pen
setup and manipulation. |
Saves
time when troubleshooting and looking for information. |
|
Added
capability to create and copy pen files. |
Ease of
use increased and time spent at the terminal troubleshooting
decreased. |
|
Trend
Chart can now show all 10 channels in channel display Window of
Trend Chart. |
No more
need to scroll up/down to see entire array of channel data displayed
on the screen. One look at the bottom will tell you what you have
displayed. |
|

Added
driver for Siemens Industrial Ethernet protocol, allowing
communication to S7-200, 300, & 400 devices. |
Wider
communications to other devices allows for more information to be
incorporated into PV. |
|
All
priority bugs addressed. |
Makes
program more reliable, dependable, and repeatable. |
|
Created
Windows Installation utility program for installing software on
Viewer or Lite platforms. Would help customers wishing or needing
to install software on computers after a failure or in a new
situation. |
Easy
installation of viewer software on other Windows-based machines.
Information can be more easily shared amongst users. |
|
Upgraded
Configurator Utility to support above changes. |
Allows
novice users to easily alter configurations should changes be
required after installation. |

Operating System
Changes to Collector |
Benefits |
|
A better file system that removes the
need to scan the hard drives on a reboot situation. This reduces the
reboot time to seconds instead of minutes. |
Improved performance for data
collection, storage, and retrieval of data, shorter re-boot time on
collector. |
|
A better operating system kernel
provides faster and more efficient reading and writing to the hard
drives. This could be a performance increase in largely loaded
systems. |
|
A new and improved Samba should bump
performance slightly. |
|
A new and improved WebMin should
facilitate troubleshooting. |
